My first ID of Redpoll.
Lots of birdlife about on the boundaries of the farms and woodlands – 6 Redpoll flitting from tree to tree with 7+ Long tailed tits and some coal tits. Saw 90+ Chaffinch sweeping along the roadside hedgerows – just beautiful! Goldcrests in the heathland
8 Goldfinch flew over, and then spotted a pair of buzzards twice sitting in fields before sweeping up to a telephone pole. This drew our eye to a Great Spotted Woodpecker at the top of the tree line.
Two more buzzards in roadside trees on the drive back to Exeter.
All the usual Dunnocks, Wrens, Blackbirds and Robins seen throughout.
