Sea-watching from the coast path approx 11am when a short-eared owl flew past southwards just off-shore. Otherwise plenty of auks (definite guillemots, probable razorbills) scattered on a silky flat sea. Cormorants carrying a lot of nesting material; shags frequent. A fulmar or two. Inland (Stantyway area) Richard Edwards and I saw only two red-legged partridges; pair of ravens; three buzzards; numerous skylarks, linnets and other common residents.
