As I came out of my garage this afternoon, I noticed 3 or 4 Blue Tits fly into my garden from a Mimosa tree in my neighbours drive. A few more followed and I thought I’d make a count of what was clearly a large Tit flock. After 10 or 15 minutes they stopped coming – I had got up to 105 birds, almost all Blue Tits, a few Great Tits, 2 Long-tailed Tits and a Coal Tit. Very glad I didn’t have a net open in the garden, It would have been overwhelming!
