A high tide visit to Bowling Green, with 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls chasing their breakfast and causing lots of disturbance, making wader counting hard.
So these are minimum counts. 250+ Blackwit, 200+ Redshank, 95+ Curlew, 30+ Dunlin, 10+ Whimbrel, 7 Greenshank, Ruff, Lapwing, Spotted Redshank (Ad, though now mostly in winter plumage) & a Barwit.
Juv Spoonbill, 1 Teal, 58+ Mallard, 4 Imm Shelduck.
Green Woodpecker, 20 House Martin, were the best of the rest.
Later at home in Alphington, 2 Juv Willow Warbler, F/Imm Blackcap & a Chiffchaff in the garden.
