Great three hour cruise this afternoon from Exmouth to Topsham. Still a good number of birds to be seen highlights for me were great views of the Long Billed Dowitcher, Spotted Redshank, Sanderling and C95 Pintail many of the drakes in breeding plumage and a Great Crested Grebe. Still a good number of Dunlin and Knot to be seen and a good number of Brent geese still. Avocet numbers appear to be thinning as they depart to there breeding grounds. Hearting to observe a good number of Curlew given the crisis with them. All of the gull species were seen during the trip add to that Shell Duck, Oystercatchers and all the other usual species found on this important and vital site it made for a very good and enjoyable three hours.
