Starting from Croyde Bay NT car park completed a circular walk around Baggy Point.
1 male + 1 female Kestrel side by side from the start & note the size & weight differences between the 2 sexes. In the vegetation surrounding the pond 3 Goldcrest & 1 vocal Chiffchaff but not the full song. Walking out along the footpath to Baggy Point it was good to see a generous cover of vegetation again on the slopes after the devastating fire many years ago. Stonechats, Meadow Pipits, Linnets, Rock Pipits & a flock of Jackdaws enjoying the good settled weather for a change. On reaching Baggy Point spent some time looking at & over the sea towards Lundy – 3 Gannets with one diving twice. A pair of Ravens making an appearance. No sea duck present during this visit or in Croyde Bay & Downend.
