A trip up to North Devon on Saturday gave flocks of Fieldfare on Exmoor along with 100’s of Starlings if not 1000’s, Kestrel, Sparrowhawk, Golden Plover, Meadow Pipit and some 40 Red Deer.
Over to Northam Burrows for the very obliging White Rumped Sandpiper, numerous Pied Wagtails, Meadow Pipit and Skylark.
Fremington quay and creek produced the reported Slavonian Grebe, Glossy Ibis, two Spotted Redshank, along with Lapwing, Little Egret, Black Tailed Godwit, several Greenshank, Redshank, Shell duck and a few Wigeon.
Over the Cadover & Sheeps Tor area this morning several Raven, female Kestrel, Mistle and Song Thrush, 80 plus Fieldfare and a female Ring Ouzel, a large flock of Meadow Pipit and a flock of some 30 Golden Plover.
