The Publishing Group

DBWPS's Publishing Group is responsible for all the Society's reports, journals and web-based publications.

The group comprises the editors of the Devon Birds journal, the website editors and administrator, and Council representatives for publications and the website respectively (see under Council & Working Groups).

Current and forthcoming publications include:

• Devon Birds – published three times a year, the third issue incorporating the annual Devon Bird Report (DBR). The journal is free to members and available for sale to non-members.
• The Harrier – a bi-monthly newsletter for members.
• The Birds of Lundy – a major new book on the avifauna of Lundy, published jointly with the Lundy Field Society in September 2007. Visit www.birdsoflundy.org.uk for more information.
• 'The Birds of Devon' – an up-to-date study of the avifauna of the county currently in preparation and due for publication in 2010.
• A Checklist of Devon Birds – published on-line in June 2008 you can view on-line and download as a PDF file here.
• www.devonbirds.org – The official DBWPS website went live in October 2007 and is updated at regular intervals with news, photographs and other useful information.

Other DBWPS Publications

Over the years, other publications have been produced by DBWPS, in particular the Tetrad Atlas of the Breeding Birds of Devon by Humphrey Sitters, published in 1988.
