The annual Devon Birds excursion to Lundy Island, due to take place on Sunday 26 April 2009, has been cancelled owing to lack of support. As of 31 March only 57 tickets had been sold, with the risk to the Society of a considerable financial loss. Full refunds will be made for all tickets bought.

Joy Vaughan has been in touch with the Lundy Shore Office and an advance booking has been made for a Society excursion on Sunday 16 May 2010. Happily, the deposit paid for the 2009 trip has been transferred to next year's outing.
