COUNCIL
As a charity, the Society is run by a Council of Trustees. The day to day administration is handled by an Executive Committee, whilst all other work, including fieldwork, publishing and other project work is conducted by Council Officers and working Group members.

Council meets four times a year to set all major policy, agree working budgets and decide on other matters of importance. The majority of the Society's on-going work is normally handled by Working Groups or individual officers. The Executive Committee, comprising Chairman, Deputy Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer meet as and when necessary to manage the day-to-day conduct of the Society. The three major working groups and their members are listed below.
